I'm hoping for that Leonard Garcia v. Chan Sung Jung fight. Also Scott Jorgensen vs. Antonio Banuelos. Man I'm gonna fuckin miss the WEC.  |

UFC president Dana White leveraged the power of AOL on Saturday to announce his company’s latest “big thing”… the acquisition of his number two competitor, Strikeforce.

Yeah. Probably the first light heavyweight that I can recall who fights like a featherweight. Just 100% balls-out, foot to the floor fuckin whoop ass. Is there anyone in the division who can match this guy's speed and versatility? Silva/Jones needs to happen next. Silva's not getting any younger and if they stretch it out any, Jones will be too much for him. Even though I know UFC probably wants Evans in there next, truth is Rashad just doesn't have Jon's speed or reach and I don't know if the fight would even make it past the first minute of the second round. the UFC heavyweight landscape is definitely changing-can't decide if it's a turn for the worse or I'm just bored.
Carwin got his ass handed to him quite severely by Dos Santos-I really feel like it's Junior's turn to rule this division...
Anyone else watch/bored by the last UFC card??

I was debating on passing on this card, ended up getting it primarily for Kenflo's debut at 145. I was impressed with his performance, and am glad to hear he's likely the next challenger for Aldo's belt.
I was surprised that Dos Santos was so dominant over Carwin, and even more surprised that fight went 3 rounds. I still don't give him much of a shot against Velasquez though. Cain's hands are much heavier, and that will be the deciding factor, imo. After watching JDS fail to take out Big Country and Carwin when he had total control over both those bouts has me doubting him. I still think Brock can take him out, if he ever gets healthy.

Nick Diaz will have the conditioning advantage. Guy's a triathlon perennial and Penn is on short time to train.
But if we're talking skill, talent and ability, this is Penn's fight to lose and since it's only a three rounder, I have to give it to Penn. I'm betting Diaz's face will look like Diego Sanchez' after he took Penn on.
