God damn - UFN:13 is shaping up to be a pretty awesome card.
Joe Lauzon vs. Kenny Florian Stephan Bonnar vs. Matt Hamil Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin Karo Parisyan vs. Thiago Alves Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo
Shit... I would've happily paid for that card, and they're giving it away.

file under: Holy Shit!
Nogueira totally took that fight. When asked what my pick would be, I said it would be Sylvia in five rounds, by decision. Which would be in keeping with a long tradition. But now Nogueira is the UFC heavyweight champ. And he was only outweighed by 30lbs.
Flipside: same conversation, I also said Frank Mir would win with some sort of leg lock. Though I fully expect that a lot of people are crying foul right now because Steve "the-only-ref-worse-than-me-is-Yves-Lavigne" Mazzagatti totally stopped the fight for a second to let Mir back up after a couple of illegal head shots (not bad ones and never been cause for the same action before), essentially giving him the match after a battering from Lesnar that could have wrapped the whole match in his favor in under 1 minute. 1:33 later, he caught Brock with a knee bar.

anyone watching wec tonite? edit... it really wasnt worth it. antonio & manny turned into a draw. Rob McCullough got robbed by varner. varner called a "time out" not even 5 seconds after taking a HUGE right hook that sent his mouth piece flying out. i have no idea why why steve mazzagotti even allowed this to happen. basically it gave varner time to recover & then come back & KO mcullough. condit was an animal as expected. edit anyone watch kimbo last night? pretty funny in my opinion. edwards KO with a knee to berto was pretty sick. edit Tim Boetsch Replaces Stephan Bonnar for April Fight Night Against Matt HamillUFN 13 will also be extended to 3 hours. April 2 Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon Thiago Alves vs. Karo Parisyan Tim Boetsch vs. Matt Hamill Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin Nate Diaz vs. Kurt Pellegrino*-Just Added!!! Frank Edgar vs. Gray Maynard Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer edit Randy Couture Signs Contract with HDNET Fights

I would watch, but its Jim Rome. Worst interviewer ever. Goes a little something like this: Jim Rome: So Dan, how tough is it being a proffesional fighter Dan Henderson: Its completely draining. I workout at the gym 5-6 days a week. But I do this because I love it. Jim Rome - Oh, I see, you do this because you just said you love it. I see now. You just said, you work out 5 or 6 days a week. Then you said, it completely drains you. This is why clones, why Dan Henderson is one of the best fighters in the world. Because he gets it. He works out 5 or 6 days a week and it DRAINS HIM. BUT, ......he does it because he loves it. Jim Rome : Another boring question Repeat sequence 20 times.

Actually, Rome came prepared with some pertinent questions about the fight. Dan doesn't make for a very exciting interview - but it was worth watching.
Regardless - it's good to see MMA getting coverage on a mainstream sports show like this.

Mayweather to make $20 million with WrestleManiaMayweather incited the couple hundred of already hyped fans at Staples Center by whipping out a thick wad of cash and repeatedly tossing $100, $50 and $20 bills into the crowd. A mad scramble ensued, with a light pole nearly getting knocked over and two small children caught in the chaos.
"I run Vegas and I run L.A. and I will run the WWE," he boasted. Hopefully this means we won't have to see this clown in the realm of MMA anytime soon.
