JARED WILSON (aka nothinghere)

Feed the Machine
/ Detroit
Jared Wilson has the finest beard in Detroit techno. Heck, the fella’s got a beard so fine, it could likely compete with the best of the country western or bluegrass circuits, but that’s neither here nor there, ‘cause Jared ain’t a country singer--don’t got the voice for it (or the face, for that matter). What he’s got, though, is a knack for playing interesting music in interesting ways. While Jared’s beard certainly gets the recognition it deserves, he’s somehow remained largely unappreciated for his deft touch and quirky sensibility behind the turntables. At turns, you might find Beard Wilson (that’s what friends call ‘im) playing selections from the Beach Boys, acid wizard Mike Ink, or leftfield IDM and drum ‘n bass from his own FTM imprint. A one-trick beard, he ain’t. Feel it.
CRAIG GONZALEZ (aka Maury Bangpow)
Detroit Bachelor DJs / Detroit
(bio coming soon)
DREW MADDOX (aka generation hex)
Detroit
Drew Maddox is a fine deejay, and one heckuva nice guy. From inauspicious beginnings as a part-time professional flyer guy for the legendary Paxahau promotions crew, Drew has matured into a colossus of techno clout, standing at the fore of the Motor City’s fourth wave of electronic innovators. With refined vinyl tastes that belie his modest downriver roots, you can find Drew playing selections ranging from the gurgling digital dub of Deadbeat, to upfront dancefloor cuts from Detroit, Berlin and beyond. A renaissance man, Drew's talents aren't limited to rocking parties across Metro Detroit. When he's not in the studio perfecting his craft, you might find Drew whalloping line shots in softball, 300-yard drives in golf, or rap superstar Ja Rule in no-limit Texas Hold 'Em at the Greektown Casino. Some guys have all the luck.

Nefarious
/ DetroitLuv / Detroit
Mark David and Jimmy Noffsinger—aka djmd! and MC BombScare—are the masterminds behind Detroitluv.com, as well as one of the top DJ/MC duo in the city’s drum ‘n bass scene. Well, when BombScare shows up for a gig, that is. The mild-mannered, punctual, md and the boisterous, oft-drunk, always-tardy BombScare (nee Jimmer) cut an unlikely pair, but the vibetastic synergy that occurs with md at the controls and Jimmer on the mic is rarely matched.

Detroit Techno Militia
/ Detroit
After becoming disenchanted with the complacency of the punk scene in the mid 90's Annix turned to hip hop and techno to vent his own expression of social discontentment, His style is an amalgamation of acid coupled with tribal mayhem and punishing kick drums. His inspiration is drawn from abroad including the sounds of Crass records all the way to the ethics of the Underground Resistance. The message is loud and clear, "This is techno: hard, unrelenting, soulful ...the soundtrack to the new urban sprawl." Watch for his own imprint Cabalistic landing in Detroit soon. Fuck with the programme.
TOYBREAKER (aka toybreaker)
God and His Bitches / Dethlab / Detroit
Toybreaker, [1/2 of DethLab] has been breaking things around Detroit for the past six years and can't mix worth a damn, but has still managed, in some project or another, to play alongside the likes of T.Raumschmiere, Chemlab, Venetian Snares, Doormouse and Solvent. The Breaker of Toys holds a monthly residency, Sex & Sedition, at Oslo with her beloved partner in crime, Mike Doyle, the other half of DethLab. Besides tinkering with electronics, Toybreaker designs costumes and pixels by day and likes things that go boom boom, organ meats, chocolate, whiskey and making out. See more at
