There was this dwarf stripper in Michigan who was kind of a hot ticket whose name I can't remember. But she was like marquee level. Like a star of stripping who was also little people.

Anyone?

I unfortunately can't make it back home for Movement this year, but here's a new DJ mix to get you ready. 44 tracks. Pretty much all vinyl - House, techno, and some throwback jams.

Hope you enjoy, and have a great music-filled weekend!

Slacking, dunno what days/times I may or may not end up there. Anyone know final prices for day and three day tix at the gate?

my go to spot has always been the underground lot right in front of the plaza

I've never even seen that open during fests in recent years...when was the last time you parked there?

I go to one of those lots off Fort street, near Shelby, etc...run, as almost all are, by some Indo-paki dudes who will righteously watch your car and let you tailgate all day w/o a sore look...IF you tip and are polite. IF you don't tip and/or aren't polite, they'll leave your car out in the rain unlocked with nary a fuck you to any robber. The one that never fails me is near the old Freep/news building...which also has an alley good for whizzing or smoking the reefer. If you come back the second day, or even just keep your car overnight there (iffy at best...), they usually will cut you a break if you are an early bird out. I left mine from 3pm to 6am the next day no problems and it was the same dude sitting in a chair at the gate. Don't trust the ones with a tricked out booth...they will leave that booth (and watching your car!) as soon as the lot fills or it gets late. Go for the ones with just a sad looking dude in a shitty metal chair.

Long ago, I used to park all the way over in that nicer than you'd think subdivision near the Palms at Rivard near The Clique Restaurant because it was near a party store and you could get your shit and hike over with a full backpack of liquor (this was in the long ago days when you could easily smuggle booze into the fest and ...ahem...it was free...). Since it is a residential condo area, the cops patrol regularly and it was easy on/easy off the Chrysler Fwy. Interestingly, I LEFT MY TRUCK UNLOCKED one year because i was young and stupid, and when I came back AFTER BEING AT THE FEST FOR ALL 3 DAYS, it was not only still there, but I discovered I'd also LEFT MY KEYS IN THE IGNITION. Odometer was the same, truck was untouched. A miracle I would never tempt fate again with...stopped parking there just to show God I believed in him and feared His Justice and would not be so stupid and high again.

(...The primary consideration there was easy access to the liquor store (there were much fewer in near DEMFville in the early 00's than there are now... so I could smuggle in booze, so that is no longer necessary or possible so I stopped parking there...)

Oddly a friend lived in The Palms not long after, and his shit was always getting broken into and vandalized IN THEIR LOCKED LOT.

I always hit the Cobo rooftop parking lot. It's close to Hart and your ride doesn't get towed.
